[Convention] TsunaCon 2015

DSCN9925Finally, we’re getting to the bigger conventions now. TsunaCon is considered to be the part of the Dutch Big Three anime conventions, but there’s something interesting about the Big Three. While this is the shortest convention during only one day from 11:00 to 23:00, it is also considered the most popular of all three, which is quite surprising. You’d expect AnimeCon or AbunaiCon to be at least more successful since they last over the weekends. However, AnimeCon has lately been labelled as quite the elitist convention with high prices and unneeded high culture, so to say. On the opposite, AbunaiCon has been switching locations here and there, and now it’s in a position where people kind of get lost in the venue. I’m not sure how to call this place, it seems more like the plaza of an international youth hostel. In any case, I decided to go here since I bought a ticket at the aforementioned convention for again, 5 euros. I think we’re on to something here with cheap and small business. However, is it really something enjoyable? I’m afraid this is going to be a short post.

[Convention] GamepitCon 2015

DSCN9570This week, there are three posts awaiting to be published. And all of them are anime conventions too! The first one we’re going to take a look at is GamepitCon 2015. This event was held on the 3rd of January, hosted by none other than Gamepit. From what I’ve heard, it’s the first edition, and it comes with something Japan can’t pull of that easily; it’s an anime convention held inside a church! It does come with its drawbacks though… Because it’s a church. Read more to see why.
